The Commander, 4 Special Forces (SF) Command, Major General Olurotimi Azubuike Awolo, paid a courtesy visit to the Headquarters Nigerian Army School of Infantry (NASI) and was received on arrival by the Commandant, Major General Frank Sunday Etim, at Jaji Military Cantonment on Wednesday, 15 April 2026.

In his remarks, the Commander 4 SF Command stated that the purpose of the visit was to deepen and institutionalize training collaboration with NASI, which he described as the Nigerian Army’s premier infantry training institution. He noted that enhanced synergy between both formations would further produce highly proficient, combat-ready officers and soldiers capable of meeting contemporary operational demands.
Major General Awolo further emphasized that sustained collaboration between NASI and the Nigerian Army Special Forces School remains critical to operational effectiveness, given their complementary roles in force generation and capacity development. He added that such cooperation would ensure the deployment of well-trained and mission-oriented personnel across various theatres of operation nationwide.
In his response, the Commandant NASI, Major General Frank Sunday Etim, reaffirmed the School’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with 4 SF Command and the Nigerian Army Special Forces School, noting that both institutions share a common mandate of training and retraining highly skilled personnel for the Nigerian Army. He congratulated the Commander on his appointment and urged him to leverage his vast operational experience in advancing the command’s objectives, while wishing him a successful and impactful tour of duty.
The high point of the visit was the signing of the visitors’ book, exchange of souvenirs, and group photograph.
