Constituents and members of the Niger East diaspora community have declared support for Sen. Mohammed Sani Musa, representing Niger East Senatorial District, for a third term in the 2027 general elections.
The declaration was contained in a statement by Ibrahim Mustapha, Strategic Communications and Youth Development Advocate, on behalf of the diaspora community in Minna on Tuesday.
Mustapha said the endorsement was based on what he described as the senator’s performance in education, health, water supply, rural infrastructure and youth empowerment.
According to the statement, 750 students recently benefited from the second batch of the senator’s domestic scholarship scheme, with PhD students receiving N500,000, medical students N300,000, Master’s students N200,000 and undergraduates N100,000.
It added that a medical student from Paikoro Local Government Area was currently studying abroad under the senator’s full sponsorship.
The group said ICT training centres had been established in Bosso, Suleja, Chanchaga, Shiroro, Rafi, Munya, Gurara and Tafa local government areas, where youths are trained in Excel, Power BI, Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence.
It further cited interventions in healthcare facilities, water projects, rural roads and empowerment programmes across the senatorial district.
Mustapha said the decision to support Musa’s third term bid was based on evidence of performance, adding that members of the diaspora in 18 countries were mobilising support for his re-election.
He said the group would deploy its networks and Permanent Voter Cards to support the senator’s ambition, describing the 2027 contest as “three times assured.”
The statement also offered prayers for the senator’s health, protection and success in the 2027 elections.
