The Chief of Logistics (Army) Major General AA Adeyinka has today 25 May 2026 said that the Nigerian Military School Zaria has over the years remained one of the strategic institutions established to nurture young and patriotic Nigerians who will continue to serve the nation with honor and integrity. He made this assertion during the commissioning of multiple projects in the institution where he served as the Special Guest of Honour.
A statement signed by Captain Chikadibia Viola Anele Acting assistant director army public relations, Nigerian Military school said the structures commissioned were a block of 10 classrooms also known as the “Legacy Building” as it is one of the oldest structures in the institution fully furnished with state of the arts equipments and a 100 capacity military training hall adjoining a training shed.
Gen Adeyinka also said this was a homecoming for him as he was once a student of this great Institution where discipline, resilience, patriotism, leadership and excellence were instilled in him and all who passed through the walls of the Nigerian Military School. Adding that this could not have been achieved without the support and unwavering commitment of the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu (Nigerian Army Medal) who graciously approved and funded the remarkable projects as his dogged dedication to educational development, youth empowerment and institutional excellence continues to inspire confidence and admiration across the Nigerian Army and the nation at large.
Speaking earlier during his Welcome Address, the Commandant Nigerian Military School Zaria, Brigadier General ON Ejiga said that the iconic classroom complex occupies a unique place in the history of the school and due to its importance, the scope of work was expanded leading to its total transformation into a modern academic complex of a high standard.
