The Nigerian Institute of Leather and Science Technology (NILEST), has Matriculated its newly admitted Students in a ceremony held at the Institute Premises in Samaru,Zaria.
This was contained in a statement signed by Nuhu Basheer Musa,personal Assistant on Media and Communication to the DG NILEST made available to newsmen.
In his opening address, the Registrar, Mr. Fedinard Nwachukwu Orji stressed the purpose of Matriculation as a ceremony in which students are officially admitted and recognized as bona fide students of the institute, with rights and privileges in accordance with the regulations of the Institute.
The Director General/Chief Executive Officer of NILEST, Dr. Auwal Mustapha Imam , declared the ceremony open and administered the Matriculation oath to the students drawn from different departments.
Dr. Imam congratulated the matriculating students and urged them to remain committed to their studies, respect their lecturers,and abide by the Institute regulations. He also commended the parents and guardians for entrusting the institute with the education and development of their children, assuring them of the Institute’s commitment to nurturing the students.
Later, the academic Secretary of the Institute, Mrs Bilkisu Muhammad Bello presented the matriculating students to the DG/CEO. Then the institute’s Barrister was called upon for the oath taking
