    OPERATION ENDURING PEACE INTENSIFIES ONGOING OPERATIONS AND RESCUE KIDNAPPED VICTIMS IN PLATEAU STATE

    Troops of Operation ENDURING PEACE have intensified ongoing decisive operations across the various Local Government Areas of Plateau State and rescued 2 kidnapped victims. 

    In a statement signed by Captain Chinonso Polycarp Oteh Media Information Officer Joint Task Force Operation ENDURING PEACE said the Operation conducted as part of deliberate efforts aimed at denying terrorists elements freedom of action across the State has recorded appreciable successes as corroborated by some eye witnesses and community leaders.

    As part of the ongoing Operations, at about 09:00am on Tuesday, 25 August 2025, troops of sector 3 deployed within Bassa Local Government Area, acting on a credible information on the kidnap of one Mr Ndubuisi Onuigbo, initiated search and rescue operation leading to the successful rescue of the kidnapped victim.

    Similarly, at the early hours of today Wednesday, 26 August 2026, troops of sector 2 Operation ENDURING PEACE, deployed at Kukawa village in Kanam Local Government Area, during a fighting patrol encountered suspected terrorists elements along the patrol route. Troops aggressively pursued the terrorists leading to the immediate rescue of a kidnapped victim Mallam Sambo Abdullahi who was abandoned by the fleeing terrorists. The rescued victims have been successfully debriefed and reunited with their families.

    The Commander Operation ENDURING PEACE, Major General Maxwell Dangana have commended the troops for their professionalism and decisive posture in disrupting criminal activities and proactively restoring peace and security in Operation ENDURING PEACE Joint Operations Area. He further appealed for calm, caution and continued support to enable troops achieve their mandate of restoring the desired Enduring Peace in the Joint Operations Area.
