As the 2026 agricultural cycle begins, Operation ENDURING PEACE, has intensified its multi-faceted strategy to guarantee a peaceful farming season and promote harmonious coexistence among the diverse ethnic groups in Southern Kaduna.

This renewed commitment bridges the gap between security oversight and economic empowerment, establishing a firm foundation for stability across the region’s fertile landscapes.

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Division Nigerian Army and Commander Operation ENDURING PEACE, Major General Folusho Oyinlola, highlighted these objectives during a security stakeholders’ engagement held on Tuesday 28 April 2026.

Represented by the Chief of Staff of the Operation, Brigadier General Mohammed Senlong Sule, the GOC addressed a diverse assembly of traditional rulers, religious leaders, and youth representatives from Jama’a, Kaura, Kauru, Zango Kataf, and Kwoi in Jaba Local Government Areas of Kaduna State.

Speaking on the theme of deepening collaboration to consolidate security gains, Major General Oyinlola noted that a thriving society depends entirely on mutual tolerance, warning that insecurity is the primary driver of poor harvest seasons. While acknowledging that the current relative calm in Southern Kaduna is the direct result of deliberate conflict mitigation and community cooperation, the GOC identified emerging threats that require collective vigilance.
