    OPERATIONAL VISIT: GOC 7 DIVISION TOURS UNITS UNDER 7 DIV GARRISON, CHARGES TROOPS TO SUSTAIN OPERATIONAL TEMPO

    In a display of sterling leadership to motivate his troops for optimal performances, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 7 Division Nigerian Army and Commander, Sector 1 Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), Brigadier General Solomon Diwa, has visited frontline troops under 7 Division Garrison.

    A statement signed Lieutenant Colonel  Haruna Mohammed Sani Acting Deputy Director Army Public Relations 7 Division Nigerian Army said the visit which is the GOC’s routine to stir the warriors spirits among troops of Sector 1 OPHK remains a morale booster as troops continue to display professionalism while discharging their constitutional mandate in the defence of Nigeria. Brigadier General Diwa also charged troops to be focused and be ready to decisively deal with the terrorists in their areas of deployment. 

    The GOC further directed troops to continue to dominate their areas of responsibilities to deny terrorists freedom of action and deter them from causing havoc to the good people of Borno State in order to create a conducive atmosphere for economic activities to thrive in the state.

    In his words “I implore you to exhibit a high level of professionalism, discipline and decorum during operations in line with best practices”. 

    He further reassured them of improved logistical support and provision of essential combat enablers to enhance operational efficiency in the ongoing counter insurgency operation. Brigadier General Diwa emphasized the need for continued resilience while assuring troops that their sacrifices were acknowledged and appreciated by the military leadership and the nation at large.

    Troops’ locations visited included FOB Auno under 73 Battalion, 333 Artillery Regiment Njimtilo, Forward Operating Base Molai under 18 Battalion, Muna Garrage under 195 Battallion, plantation and Forward Operating Base Dalwa.

    Highlights of the visits were interactions with field commanders, strategic guidance, inspection of locations visited as well as addressing the needed logistics requirements that are prerequisite to operational efficiency.
