The Adamawa state chapter of the Peoples Democratic party, PDP has presented certificates of return to its twenty five elected candidates for the state Assembly seats in the state.
Making the presentation of the certificates at the state Secretariat of the party in Yola on Friday, Chairman of the party, Belmont Dogo stressed that the certificates presented to the candidates signifies that they were duly elected in the concluded primary election of the party.
Dogo explained that the EC13 and EC9 accompanying the certificates are to be filled and returned to the party’s headquarters for onward transmission to the Independent National Electoral Com mission,INEC for proper processing.
Dogo emphasized that the moment INEC finishes it thorough screening then the names would be downloaded on the Commission’s portal which will automatically gives a candidate the legal latitude to contest in the election.
According to him the 3 senatorial and 8 House of representative candidates were presented their certificates of return at the national headquarters of the party in Abuja few days back calling on them to go back to their respective constituencies and mobilized for support with a view to attaining victory at the polls come 2027 general elections.
Responding on behalf of the candidates, Mr.Ijal James Thliza, candidate for the state Assembly representing Madagali constituency expressed gratitude to the party and people of his local government area for the opportunity given to him to serve.
Thliza assured that if given the mandate by the electorate,they would ensure that policies aimed at uplifting the lives of the constituents are improved across the 226 wards through robust legislation.
Among those who collected their certificates of return are Emmanuel Eli Tamde of Girei local government council, Usman Lamba of Toungo local government area, Yusuf Musa of Hong LGA among others
