The Police Service Commission (PSC), in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), has scheduled the Written Examination for applicants seeking enlistment as Police Constables (General Duty and Specialist cadres) to hold from 28th to 30th April 2026. The exercise will take place at designated centres across the 36 states of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory.
In Akwa Ibom State, the examination will be conducted at the University of Uyo, Town Campus, Ikpa Road, Uyo.
Only candidates who successfully passed the physical and credentials screening are eligible to participate. Qualified applicants are required to log on to www.npfapplication.psc.gov.ng from Friday, 24th April 2026 to print their Examination Invitation Card, which clearly indicates the specific date, time, and venue of their test.
Candidates are to come along with the following items:
1. A writing pen
2. National Identification Number (NIN) Slip issued by NIMC (with a clear photograph)
3. Printed Examination Invitation Card
4. Dress Code: White shorts, white T-shirt, and white canvas shoes
The Police Service Commission reiterates that the recruitment process is entirely free of charge and warns that any form of job racketeering, scam, or financial inducement will be met with the full weight of the law.
The Commissioner of Police, Akwa Ibom State Command, CP Baba Mohammed Azare, fsi, urges all eligible candidates in the State to strictly comply with the above guidelines. He further advises candidates to arrive early at the examination venue and maintain orderly conduct throughout the exercise.
