In line with the directives of the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Malam Uba Sani CON, on preparations for the forthcoming flag-off of the campaign for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR in Kaduna, the Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government Council, Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad Jaga, today presided over an emergency meeting with key political and government representatives to coordinate preparations and deliberate on other important political and developmental matters concerning the Local Government.
A statement signed by Ishaq Galadima Chief Press Secretary Office of the chairman said the meeting was attended by federal and state government appointees, ward councillors, local government party leaders, ward party chairmen, local government appointees and other key representatives.

Deliberations focused primarily on ensuring adequate coordination and readiness for the campaign flag-off scheduled for 24 October 2026.

The meeting also addressed other development-related issues affecting Zaria Local Government, alongside preparations for forthcoming empowerment programmes facilitated by the Rt. Hon. Speaker Abbas Tajudeen .
The Chairman emphasised the importance of unity, effective coordination and collective commitment in ensuring the successful execution of the planned political activities and development initiatives for the benefit of the people.
