The Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Education, Zaria, Prof. Yahaya Isa Bunkure (Makaman Rano), today joined other former students of Kumbotso Teachers’ College, Kano, to pay homage to their former teacher, the Emir of Karaye, Alhaji Muhammad Mahraz Karaye, in Kano State.
A statement signed by the media aide to the VC, Sani Lawal maqarphy said the Emir was a former teacher at the then Kumbotso Teachers’ College, now Sa’adatu Rimi College of Education, Kano, where he taught them Geography during their student days.
The delegation was warmly received by the Emir, who expressed appreciation for the visit and recalled his years of teaching at the college.
The visit provided an opportunity for the former students to reconnect with their former teacher and pay homage to him as the Emir of Karaye.
