Abuja* – The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Finance, Mohammed Sani Musa, on Monday represented the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, at the Nigeria Infrastructure Conference, INFRACON 2026.

The two-day conference, organised by the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, NACCIMA, is holding at the Afreximbank African Trade Centre, AATC, Towers in Abuja.

This was contained in a statement issued by the senator’s media office.

In a keynote address delivered on behalf of the Senate President, Sani Musa reaffirmed the commitment of the 10th National Assembly to enacting legislative frameworks that promote infrastructure financing, strengthen public-private partnerships and create an enabling environment for sustainable economic growth.

He said robust infrastructure remained the backbone of economic prosperity, job creation, industrialisation and improved quality of life for Nigerians.

The senator also called for stronger collaboration between the public and private sectors to bridge the nation’s infrastructure deficit.

The conference brought together senior government officials, financial leaders, multilateral development partners, investors and private sector executives to explore innovative financing models and practical strategies for transforming Nigeria’s infrastructure landscape.

Later, Sani Musa presided over the Senate Committee on Finance in continuation of the committee’s investigative hearing on Internally Generated Revenue, IGR.
