The Speaker House of Representatives Dr Abbas Tajuddeen, has described late Malam Nafiu Baba Ahmed, as an elder statesman and a religious leader who uses Islam to propagate peace and unity across the country.
In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity Mallam Musa Abdullahi Krishi, the Speaker expressed sadness over the demise of the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Shari’ah in Nigeria and pray for Allah to grant him Jannatul Firdaus.

Dr Abbas Tajuddeen, who emphasized that the religious leader will be sorely missed for his professionalism career as an economist, academia and seasoned administrator.
The Speaker especially condoled with the family, Kaduna state Government and the Muslim Ummah, saying the late Malam Nafiu Baba-Ahmed’s passing is a huge loss to the Islamic community.
Mallam Nafi’u Baba Ahmad died last Tuesday in Abuja after a brief illness and has been buried according to the Islamic rites
