The Headquarters 14 Brigade Nigerian Army Ohafia, Abia State has held its 2026 Bi-Annual Route March as part of efforts to enhance troops’ physical fitness, combat readiness, mental alertness and unit cohesion.
A statement signed by Captain Mazinho Attah Assistant Director Army Public Relations 14 Brigade Nigerian Army Ohafia, Abia State flagging off the route march, the Commander, 14 Brigade Nigerian Army, Brigadier General AM Dikko stated that Route March is a routine training activity in the Nigerian Army designed to keep personnel physically and mentally fit for the effective performance of operational duties.
He urged participants to maintain discipline, demonstrate professionalism and uphold the highest standards of military bearing throughout the exercise.
The Commander further encouraged personnel to make productive use of their free time by engaging in regular physical exercise, noting that physical fitness is essential to maintaining the strength, alertness and readiness required for effective military service.
He further advised personnel to sustain the habit of exercising regularly, while remaining disciplined and committed to their responsibilities both on and off duty.
The successful route march reaffirmed 14 Brigade’s commitment to maintaining a physically fit, disciplined and operationally ready force, while strengthening teamwork and unity among its personnel.
