In life—and especially in politics—not every statement deserves a response. A wise individual understands that there is a time to speak and a time to remain silent.During periods marked by controversy, speculation, and criticism, silence can serve as a powerful expression of patience, dignity, and confidence that time will ultimately reveal the truth.

This admirable quality is evident in the political conduct of Dr.Jamil Isyaku Gwamna. Despite various comments, criticisms, and narratives circulating from different quarters, he has consistently demonstrated composure and focus, remaining committed to his vision and his engagement with the people of Gombe State.Rather than being drawn into endless exchanges with critics, he has chosen to concentrate on issues that truly matter—promoting unity, fostering development, and advancing the collective interest of the people.

Islam places great emphasis on guarding one’s tongue and avoiding unnecessary disputes. Allah, the Almighty, says:

“And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth humbly, and when the ignorant address them harshly, they say words of peace.” (Qur’an 25:63)

    Allah also says:

“And be patient. Indeed, Allah is with the patient.” (Qur’an 8:46)

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

“Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should speak what is good or remain silent.” (Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim)

These timeless teachings remind us that restraint is often a sign of strength, not weakness. Silence does not necessarily indicate an inability to respond; rather, it reflects wisdom, maturity, and the understanding that not every argument is worth engaging.

From this perspective, Dr. Gwamna’s decision to remain silent on certain matters can be seen as a mark of patience and strategic leadership. True leadership is not measured by the volume of one’s words, but by the strength of one’s character, the clarity of one’s vision, and the impact of one’s actions.

Ultimately, there is a time to speak and a time to remain silent. History has repeatedly shown that leaders who stay focused on their goals, maintain composure, and allow their actions to speak for them are those who earn lasting respect, credibility, and public confidence.

The qualities demonstrated by Dr. Jamil Isyaku Gwamna clearly distinguish him from the crowd. They reflect not only the depth of his knowledge but also his ability to translate that knowledge into meaningful action.

It is often said that knowledge—no matter how vast, whether acquired through religious or Western education—holds little value if it is not reflected in one’s daily life. True knowledge is not merely what one knows, but what one lives by. Without application, even the most learned individual risks remaining intellectually idle.

In this regard, Dr. Gwamna stands out as a shining example of knowledge in action. He is not only well-educated but also deeply grounded in the practical application of his learning.

He possesses a rich background in Islamic education, having memorized the Holy Qur’an and studied classical texts that emphasize morality, discipline, and devotion to Almighty Allah. These foundations have shaped his character, instilling values of integrity, humility, and service.

Complementing this is his strong Western academic background. Dr. Gwamna holds a PhD—earned through rigorous academic pursuit—and is a specialist in economic development. Over the years, he has built substantial experience in this field, equipping him with the insight and strategic capacity required to drive sustainable growth and development in Gombe State.

Beyond academics, he brings a wealth of practical experience from both the public and private sectors. He has served in various capacities in government and held key leadership roles in the private sector, consistently demonstrating competence, innovation, and results-driven leadership. This rare combination positions him as a well-rounded and capable leader.

At a time when Gombe State requires visionary leadership anchored in knowledge, integrity, and proven experience, Dr. Jamil Isyaku Gwamna emerges as a credible and compelling option. His track record, character, and competence clearly set him apart.

As the 2027 gubernatorial election approaches, the choice becomes increasingly clear: Dr. Jamil Isyaku Gwamna is not just a candidate—he represents a strong and capable leadership option for the future of Gombe State.
