    TRADOC NA AND 31 ARTILLERY BRIGADE COMMENCE NADCEL 2026 ACTIVITIES WITH SPECIAL JUMA’AT PRAYERS

    The Training and Doctrine Command Nigerian Army (TRADOC NA), in conjunction with 31 Artillery Brigade, today commenced activities marking the Nigerian Army Day Celebration (NADCEL) 2026 with special Juma’at prayers held at the Combined Central Mosque, Minna Military Cantonment.

    A statement signed by Felicia Daniel acting deputy director army public relations, training and doctrine command tradoc Nigerian Army said the NADCEL 2026 is being observed under the theme, “Protecting the Nation and Serving the People: A Way Forward for the Nigerian Army.”

    Representing the Commander TRADOC NA, Major General Peter Malla, the Chief of Research, Development, Test and Evaluation, Major General Mohammed Abdullahi, described NADCEL as a significant occasion for reflection, gratitude and spiritual renewal. He noted that the celebration transcends ceremonial activities, serving as an opportunity to seek divine guidance for the nation, its leaders and the Armed Forces.

    According to him, “Today’s celebration is not merely about commemorative events. It is an opportunity to offer prayers for the peace, unity and stability of our nation, and for our leaders and strengthen the bonds of fellowship among personnel.”

    The special prayer session was led by the Acting Deputy Director of Islamic Affairs, TRADOC NA, Lieutenant Colonel MR Ibrahim, who also serves as the Chief Imam of TRADOC NA. During the service, prayers were offered for the peace, unity and continued progress of Nigeria; as well as officers and soldiers deployed across various theatres of operation.

    In his sermon, the Chief Imam underscored the significance of the NADCEL 2026 theme, stressing the sacred responsibility of military personnel to remain steadfast in safeguarding the nation’s territorial integrity while rendering selfless service to the Nigerian people. He also urged personnel to uphold discipline, professionalism and unwavering commitment to duty.

    The event was attended by officers and soldiers of TRADOC NA and 31 Artillery Brigade, personnel of sister Services, civilian staff of TRADOC NA, heads and representatives of security agencies in Niger State, members of the Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA), TRADOC NA Chapter, as well as families of personnel.

    The special Juma’at prayers culminated in a luncheon hosted at the TRADOC NA Officers’ Mess for officers, soldiers and invited guests. The event formally heralded the commencement of activities lined up for the Nigerian Army Day Celebration 2026.
