The Acting Corps Commander Education, Brigadier General Yushau Dogara Ahmed, has charged graduating students to translate the knowledge acquired into improved performance in the field.
A statement signed by Lieutenant Oriade Oluwaseun Adewale Assistant Director Army Public RelationsNigerian Army College of Education said he gave the charge at the graduation ceremony of the Third Quarter Courses held on Thursday, 24 September 2026, at the Nigerian Army Institute of Science Education and Technology (NAISET), Ilorin, Kwara State.
The Acting Corps Commander Education, who was represented by the Commandant NAISET, Colonel Abbas Ahmad Abubakar, while congratulating the students, noted that the objectives of the courses were to develop competent, confident and professionally equipped personnel capable of meeting the evolving educational and institutional requirements of the Nigerian Army.
Brigadier General Ahmed further stated that the Advanced Nigerian Army Education Corps (NAEC) Officers Development Course is particularly important in strengthening the professional capacity of officers entrusted with educational responsibilities. He expressed confidence that graduates of the course would demonstrate sound leadership, initiative and a clear understanding of the critical role of education in building a highly professional fighting force.
Similarly, he said the Training Development Advisers Course has adequately equipped students with the competencies required to contribute effectively to the design, development and continuous improvement of training, which remains fundamental to operational readiness.
The CC Education commended students of the Advanced Map Reading and Specialist Map Reading Courses for their commitment to improving critical military skills. He emphasised that accurate terrain interpretation and effective use of maps remain vital components of military planning, navigation and operations, and urged them to put the knowledge gained into use in their respective formations and units.
Earlier, the Acting Commandant of the Institute, Colonel Abubakar, expressed his profound appreciation to the CC Education for his unwavering support towards the actualization of the Institute’s mandate. He noted that the growth of the Institution is built on moral discipline, intellectual development and the willingness of personnel to continuously acquire new knowledge and competencies in service to the nation.
Colonel Abubakar further highlighted the significance of the courses which he said reflects the broad and strategic responsibilities of the NAEC and sufficiently demonstrates that modern military effectiveness extends beyond combat proficiency. It encompasses a force that is intellectually prepared, professionally competent, technologically aware and capable of adapting to an increasingly complex operationalenvironment.
