The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Education, Zaria (FUE Zaria), Prof. Yahaya Isa Bunkure, alongside the Registrar of the University, Alh. Shehu Iya Sa’idu, attended the public presentation of The History of the Zazzau Emirate (1808–2025) held on Wednesday, 7th October 2026, at Malam Musa Hall, Emir’s Palace, Zaria.
A statement signed by Sani Lawal Maqarphy, media aide to the VC said the event was organised to commemorate the sixth anniversary of the ascension of His Highness, Amb. Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, CFR, as the 19th Emir of Zazzau.

The occasion brought together prominent personalities, traditional rulers, academics and other distinguished guests to celebrate the milestone and the rich history, heritage and traditions of the Zazzau Emirate.
The publication chronicles more than two centuries of the history of the Emirate, documenting its institutions, personalities, traditions and significant developments, providing a rich reference for scholars, researchers and younger generations seeking to understand the historical evolution and cultural heritage of Zazzau.
For FUE Zaria, the occasion provided an opportunity to identify with the traditional institution and the people of the Emirate, while foregrounding the importance of documenting and preserving historical knowledge for present and future generations
The Vice-Chancellor on behalf of the Governing Council, Management, staff, students and the University community, joined other dignitaries in wishing the Emir continued wisdom, good health and strength in the discharge of his responsibilities, as well as peace, unity and prosperity for the Zazzau Emirate and its people.
