The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Education (FUE), Zaria, Prof. Yahaya Isa Bunkure, on Tuesday participated in the first day of a conference and other academic engagements in the United Kingdom.
A statement signed by Sani Lawal Maqarphy, media aide to the VC, said the day’s programme commenced with a journey from London to Lancaster. Thereafter, Prof. Bunkure, alongside other participants, visited the Faculty of Law and the Law Clinic of Liverpool John Moores University.
At the Department of Journalism and Sports Journalism, the delegation was taken through the University’s academic programmes and practical approach to teaching and professional training.
The Vice-Chancellor also visited Manchester Metropolitan University, where the delegation attended a lecture on 3D Design delivered by an expert, Mr. Allen. The lecture examined the concepts, applications and growing relevance of three-dimensional design in modern manufacturing.
As part of the engagements, discussions were initiated on possible areas of academic collaboration between the Federal University of Education, Zaria, and Liverpool John Moores University.
The proposed partnership is expected to explore opportunities in teaching, research, staff and student exchange, as well as other areas of mutual interest.
The conference and related academic engagements will continue with further activities in the coming days.
