    **VC FUEZ Receives Another Report on Academic Staff Placement*

    The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Education (FUE), Zaria, Prof. Yahaya Isa Bunkure, has received another report from the Committee on Academic Staff Placement in Respect of Other Ranks

    A statement from the University said the Committee was established to recommend the placement of academic staff into appropriate academic cadres in line with the requirements of the National Universities Commission (NUC).

    Presenting the report to the University Management on Thursday, 9th July, 2026, the Chairman of the Committee, Prof. Danja, stated that the committee has successfully concluded the placement of academic staff in the ranks of Assistant Lecturer, Lecturer II, Lecturer I and Senior Lecturer.

    He disclosed that a total of 741 academic staff in the respective cadres were appropriately placed in accordance with approved guidelines, relevant University regulations and the National Universities Commission’s Core Curriculum and Minimum Academic Standards (CCMAS).

    Prof. Danja further informed the Vice-Chancellor that the committee also completed the placement of the second batch of academic staff in the Professorial and Reader cadre, with more than 40 academic staff placed accordingly.

    He noted that the exercise was conducted with fairness, diligence and transparency, ensuring that all affected staff met the prescribed academic qualifications and standards for their respective cadres.

    Receiving the report, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Yahaya Isa Bunkure, commended the committee for the successful completion of its assignment and its commitment to a credible and transparent placement process.

    He thanked the chairman and members of the committee for their dedication and assured them that the University Management would carefully study the reports and take the necessary action in line with the University’s regulations.

    The presentation was attended by principal officers and members of the University Management.
