Vice-President Kashim Shettima, GCON, has departed Katsina State for Abuja after concluding his one-day official visit to the State.
Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, Deputy Governor Faruk Lawal Jobe, members of the State Executive Council and other senior government officials accompanied the Vice-President to the airport.

Before his departure at Umaru Musa Yaradua International Airport, Vice-President Shettima inspected a quarter guard mounted by personnel of the Nigerian Air Force.

During the visit, Vice-President Shettima, alongside Governor Radda, commissioned three major road projects executed by the Radda administration: the dualised 4.80km Kofar Sauri–Central Mosque Roundabout Road, the dualised 2.40km Central Police Station Junction–Kofar Kaura Underpass Road, and the newly constructed 4.00km Filin Polo–Ring Road.
He also launched 30 CNG hybrid buses and 200 Phase I electric tricycles as part of efforts to improve mass transportation in Katsina State.
At the People’s Square, Government House, the Vice-President received thousands of new members from various political parties into the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He also participated in the launch of the Community Investment Fund under the Nigeria for Women Programme Scale-Up (NFWP-SU) at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium, aimed at expanding economic opportunities and promoting financial inclusion for women across the State.
