Yobe State Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON, COMN, along with other high ranking personalities of Yobe extraction were today at the Police Headquarters Mosque to witness the wedding of Fatiha of Barr. Umar Ibrahim Gaidam, son of Police Affairs Minister, Sen. Ibrahim Gaidam and his heartthrob, Asmau Ibrahim Wamba.
A statement signed by Mal Mamman Mohammed DG press and media affairs to the Governor said Gov. Buni received the bride on behalf of the groom after payment of dowry to solidify the marriage.
In attendance were the father of the groom Sen. Ibrahim Gaidam, former Senate President Ahmad lbrahim Lawan, Police Inspector General, Tunji Disu, politicians, public officers, government officials and prominent sons of the state.
Prayers were offered to the new couples for a blessed and peaceful married life.
Prayers were also offered for improved security and peace across the country, as well as, successful general election, as Nigeria prepares for the general election.
