The Commissioner of Police, Zamfara State Command, CP Ahmad Muhammed Bello, psc+, mnips, paid an operational visit to Zurmi Local Government Area where he held a town hall meeting with security managers and relevant stakeholders to deliberate on issues affecting security in the area.
A statement signed by the command public relations DSP Yazid Abubakar said as part of the visit, the Commissioner of Police paid homage to His Royal Highness, the Emir of Zurmi, Alhaji Sulaiman Muhammad Bello bunu, Sarkin zamfara Zurmi,who was ably represented by Alhaji Amiru Bello, Secretary to the Emirate Council. During the meeting, critical security concerns affecting the area were extensively discussed, with emphasis on strengthening collaboration between security agencies and the community.
The CP also sensitized members of the public on essential security tips and enlightened them on the importance of promptly reporting suspicious activities and security-related issues to relevant authorities for immediate action.
Furthermore, CP Ahmad Muhammed Bello addressed officers and men of the Zurmi Divisional Headquarters, charging them to remain vigilant, disciplined, and professional in the discharge of their constitutional responsibilities. He urged the personnel to uphold the core values of the Nigeria Police Force while maintaining cordial relationships with members of the public.
The Commissioner of Police further appealed to the good people of Zurmi to continue supporting the Police and other security agencies with timely and credible information to enhance prompt response and effective policing across the area.
