The First Lady of Zamfara State, Her Excellency, Hajiya Huriyya Dauda Lawal, has described the unity and strong participation of women at the All Progressives Congress (APC) Women Stakeholders’ Mobilisation and Empowerment Summit in Abuja as a clear sign of the party’s growing strength and its prospects for victory in the 2027 general elections.
A statement signed by Rabi Yusuf Press Secretary, Office of the First Lady of Zamfara State said Hajiya Huriyya stated this while speaking on the significance of the summit held at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja, where APC women stakeholders from across the country gathered to strengthen mobilisation structures ahead of the 2027 elections.

She commended the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for bringing together women leaders, stakeholders and supporters of the APC under one platform, describing the gathering as a demonstration of unity, commitment and collective determination among women of the party.
According to her, the decision to bring the various women support groups together under a coordinated APC campaign structure would further strengthen the party’s grassroots mobilisation and create a stronger platform for women to work collectively towards the success of the party at all levels.
The Zamfara First Lady also welcomed the message delivered by Senator Oluremi Tinubu, who urged APC women to return to their respective states and take the achievements of the administration to the grassroots.
Hajiya Huriyya said the message was particularly important as women remained a critical force in shaping political participation and electoral outcomes across the country.
She therefore called on women in Zamfara State to take the spirit of the Abuja gathering back to their communities, wards and local government areas, urging them to come out en masse, strengthen their mobilisation structures and work together for the success of the APC.
She said the unity witnessed in Abuja should be replicated in Zamfara, stressing that the strength of the party would continue to grow when its women remained united and committed to a common political objective.
Hajiya Huriyya further commended the APC stakeholders from Zamfara State who travelled to Abuja to participate in the summit, appreciating their commitment, solidarity and support for the party’s women mobilisation efforts.
She described their presence as a demonstration of Zamfara’s readiness to play an active role in the national and State mobilisation drive ahead of the 2027 elections.
The summit attracted prominent political leaders, women stakeholders, wives of political leaders, state representatives and other dignitaries from across the country, including First Ladies from various states, former First Ladies, political women leaders and other key stakeholders.
The Zamfara First Lady also hosted members of the Zamfara delegation to an exclusive lunch, providing an opportunity for the state’s women stakeholders and political representatives to interact, strengthen their bond and reflect on the way forward for the party.
She expressed confidence that the renewed unity and coordination among APC women witnessed at the national level would translate into stronger grassroots mobilisation and greater political participation by women across Zamfara State.

Hajiya Huriyya reaffirmed her commitment to supporting initiatives that promote the participation, empowerment and unity of women, while calling on Zamfara women to remain united, organised and prepared to play their part in the political process leading to the 2027 general elections.
She said the Abuja summit had demonstrated that “when women come together with one voice and a common purpose, they have the strength to influence the direction of the nation.”
