    In a landmark move to revitalize the creative arts and preserve the rich cultural heritage of Zamfara State, the First Lady, Her Excellency Hajiya Huriya Dauda Lawal, presided over the official presentation of operational vehicles and developmental grants to key figures in the state’s artistic community.

    A statement signed by Rabi Yusuf Press secretary office of the first lady said the initiative, executed by the Deputy Governor, Malam Mani Malam Mumuni, reveals the administration’s “Rescue Mission” philosophy ensuring that the dividends of democracy reach every sector, including the custodians of culture and the creative economy.

    Speaking at the Government House in Gusau, the First Lady emphasized that the creative sector is a vital pillar of social cohesion and economic potential. She noted that supporting local talent is not merely a gesture of goodwill, but a strategic investment in the state’s identity.

    “Our administration remains unshakeable in its commitment to inclusive governance,” Hajiya Huriya Dauda Lawal stated. “Democracy is only meaningful when it empowers the people who tell our stories and preserve our traditions. By equipping our artists and cultural troupes, we are ensuring that the vibrant spirit of Zamfara continues to resonate across the nation.”

    The First Lady facilitated the distribution of specialized vehicles tailored to the logistical needs of the beneficiaries that include DLD Singers Forum: Presented with an 18-seater bus to enhance their mobility for statewide outreach and performances; Zamfara State Cultural Troupes: Received a Sienna vehicle to strengthen their capacity for representing the state at national and international cultural festivals while Alhaji Mande Marafa: The renowned traditional musician was honored with a Volkswagen Golf vehicle in recognition of his lifelong dedication to indigenous music.

    In a further demonstration of her personal commitment to their success, the First Lady announced a cash grant of One Million Naira (₦1,000,000) for the beneficiaries to support their immediate operational costs and creative projects.

    Responding on behalf of the recipients, the beneficiaries expressed profound gratitude to the First Lady for her advocacy and to the Deputy Governor for his support. They described the intervention as a “timely catalyst” that would breathe new life into their work, promising to use the resources to project a positive and culturally rich image of Zamfara State.
