The Commander, Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Nigerian Army, has undertaken a working visit to Depot Nigerian Army Amasiri-Edda, where he received brief on ongoing training activities Thursday 13 August 2026
Delivering his brief, the Commandant Depot Nigerian Army Amasiri-Edda Brigadier General Ahmed Ahmadu, highlighted the training outlook for the institution, innovations and best practices aimed at enhancing the quality of recruits training.
A statement signed by Captain Serah Seth Barka Acting Assistanant Director Army Public Relations,Depot Nigerian Army Amasiri-Edda said the brief also addressed ongoing challenges facing the Depot, as well as projections for further development to improve effective training.
In his remarks, the Commander TRADOC, Major General Peter Malla commended the Commandant and his team for their dynamic approach to training and the remarkable transformation of the training environment. He noted that the Depot’s temporary training location within a cluster of reputable military training institutions in Jaji Military Cantonment presents a unique opportunity to further enhance the quality of training. He added that the existing collaboration between the 3 NA Depots is crucial in producing effective and professional soldiers. He also commended all the instructors for their efforts in training these young soldiers, he reiterated the need for more awareness on profesional conduct and character Development in relation to Armed forces social media policy as earlier stated by the commandant during his brief.
Following the briefing, the Commander TRADOC conducted a tour of facilities in the training areas to assess the standard of training being imparted to the recruits and the infrastructure in place. The visit also featured the signing of the visitors’ book, presentation of momentos and a group photograph.
The visit was attended by senior officers and officers of the Depot as well as senior officers from Depot Nigerian Army Zaria, underscoring the collaborative relationship between the training institutions. This reflects the Nigerian Army’s commitment to maintaining consistent training standards across all its force-generation establishments.
