The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has noted a message circulating on social media alleging that a man armed with a machete has been attacking and robbing residents around Osongama and Four Lanes in Uyo.

A statement signed by the command public relations officer DSP Timfon John said the Command urges anyone who may have been attacked or robbed in connection with the allegation to visit the nearest Police Station and make a formal report. Victims are encouraged to provide relevant details, including the date, time and location of the incident, description of the suspect, items allegedly taken, and any available evidence.
