The Commandant Depot Nigerian Army Zaria Brigadier General Usman Ahmad has sought for royal guidance, prayers and continuous synergy with the Zaria Community.
A statement signed by Captain Chikadibia Viola Anele Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations said he made this known on Tuesday 6 October 26 when he paid a courtesy visit to the Emir Of Zazzau, His Royal Highness Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli at his Palace in Zaria City.

While stating the purpose of his visit, Brigadier General U Ahmad disclosed that he was the newly appointed the Commandant of Depot NA Zaria and he assumed duties as the 39th Commandant on 14 July 26 and upon assumption he owes it as a point of duty and obligation to pay a courtesy call to the Emir in order to solicit for royal guidance and prayers for him to succeed during his tour of duty. He noted that he has confidence in and respect for traditional institutions and cannot but seek a continuous synergy with them. He emphasized on the need to strengthen the already existing co-oporation and collaboration with host communities especially within Zaria metropolis and other neighboring villages.

While responding, the Emir of Zazzau, His Royal Highness Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli Congratulated the Commandant on his appointment and prayed for a seamless and successful tour of duty. He acknowledged the roles in Depot NA Zaria has been playing in the moulding of young men and women and transforming them into able bodied soldiers.

He affirmed the confidence he has in the institution and by extension, the Nigerian Army in the discharge of it’s constitutional roles and obligation.
The Emir of Zazzau concluded by saying that his doors are always open to the institution regarding assistance whenever the need arises.
