Yobe state has emerged the second best-performing state in democratic performance with increased stability, accountability and inclusivity for good governance.
A statement signed by Male Mamman Mohammed,DG Press and Media Affairs To The Governor said Yobe state ranked second with 64.3% after Oyo state that clinched the first position with 70% according to Kimpact Development Initiative, indicating 28 states with low performance index.

The Development Initiative said the performance of the states were based on four factors including Electoral Participation, Political Inclusion, Institutional Effectiveness and Civil Liberties.

Yobe State had consistently conducted local government elections with huge citizen awareness and participation in both local and national elections to give the state a greater advantage.
This performance assessment serves as an indicator for greater electorate participation and voter turn out in the state in the forthcoming general elections.
