Troops of the newly established 24 Armoured Brigade, operating under Operation UNITY HAVEN, have arrested three suspected armed robbers and recovered a foldable FN rifle, ammunition and a stolen motorcycle following a swift response to a distress call at Sabon Gida, Pil Gani Village, Langtang North LGA of Plateau State. The operation highlights the Brigade’s growing role in strengthening security presence, responding rapidly to threats and protecting lives and property.
Following the distress call, the Acting Commander, 24 Armoured Brigade, swiftly led a patrol team to the scene, where the victim, who had sustained a gunshot wound to the forehead, was evacuated to a nearby medical facility for urgent medical attention. Troops subsequently collaborated with local vigilantes to conduct a coordinated search, leading to the arrest of three suspects identified as John Nimmeyez, Nanzif Khmzif and Nanchaf Lamck.

Items recovered include one foldable FN rifle, nine rounds of 7.62mm NATO ammunition and a stolen motorcycle. The suspects and recovered items are currently in the custody of the troops for further action.
Troops have intensified patrols across the area to deny criminal elements freedom of action, prevent further attacks and strengthen public confidence. The Nigerian Army will continue to work with local security stakeholders to disrupt criminal activities and sustain a secure environment for communities across the area of responsibility.
