The Commissioner of Police, Zamfara State Command, CP Ahmad Muhammad Bello, psc+, mnips, has conducted an operational visit to the Federal University Gusau (FUG) as part of ongoing strategic efforts aimed at strengthening security coordination and ensuring the safety of lives and property within the institution and its surrounding communities.
During the visit, the Commissioner of Police undertook a comprehensive assessment of the existing security framework within the university and held consultations with the institution’s management and other critical stakeholders.
A statement signed by the command public relations officer DSP Yazid Abubakar said the discussions focused on enhancing collaborative mechanisms, improving intelligence sharing, and adopting proactive measures to effectively address emerging security challenges.
In his remarks, CP Bello reaffirmed his commitment to result-oriented and proactive policing, emphasizing that his leadership approach is anchored on active field engagement rather than a passive, office-based style. He reiterated that the Command remains resolute in its mandate to safeguard all residents of the State through professionalism, diligence, and community partnership.
The Commissioner further assured the university community of the Command’s sustained support and readiness to respond swiftly to any security concerns.
He also called on members of the public to continue to cooperate with the Police by providing timely and credible information that will aid in the prevention and detection ofcrime.
