At the 2026 Inspire Her International Conference held at NICON Luxury Hotel, Abuja, on Thursday, 2nd April, 2026, Her Excellency, Hajiah Fatima Abbas Tajudeen, was honoured with a distinguished award in recognition of her unwavering commitment to women’s empowerment, social inclusion, and community development.
In her remarks as Special Guest of Honour and award recipient, Her Excellency expressed deep appreciation to the organisers for the honour, describing the conference theme, “Women Rising Through Barriers: Igniting Excellence and Strength for Generational Legacies,” as both timely and reflective of the realities many women continue to face.
She emphasised that sustainable empowerment must be grounded in responsibility, discipline, self-reliance, and the right mindset, noting that women must see themselves not only as beneficiaries of support, but as builders of opportunity and creators of value in their homes, communities, and nation. She further dedicated the award to all Nigerian women, acknowledging their resilience, strength, and enduring contributions to national development.
Her Excellency also highlighted the work of the Fatima Tajudeen Abbas Foundation, through which women are being equipped with practical skills in entrepreneurship, vocational development, and financial literacy to promote sustainable livelihoods and long-term independence.
She further commended the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and the advocacy of Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, for their sustained support for women, families, and vulnerable groups, while also applauding the 10th House of Representatives under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, PhD, GCON, for its unprecedented commitment to women’s inclusion in legislative leadership.
According to her, the recognition serves not only as an honour, but as a renewed call to action to keep building structures that empower women, strengthen families, and create lasting generational impact.
