The Speaker federal house of representatives,RT HON Dr Tajudeen Abbas has Felicitates Muslims on the occasion of activities marking the beginning of the New Islamic year 1448.
He said “as we welcome the Islamic New Year, 1448 AH, I extend my warmest congratulations to the Muslim Ummah in Nigeria and across the world”.
Dr Abbas Tajudeen maintained that the Hijrah reminds us that every meaningful journey begins with sacrifice, faith, resilience, and unwavering trust in Allah (SWT). It is a timeless lesson that progress is impossible without patience, and unity is impossible without love.
The Speaker therefore urge all Muslims to rededicate themselves to the worship of Allah, while embracing the values of love, tolerance, compassion, and peaceful coexistence that are central to Islam.
“At a time when our nation needs greater harmony and understanding, we must become ambassadors of peace within our communities and beyond” the Speaker added.
He appealed to Nigerians to use this sacred occasion to offer sincere prayers for Nigeria, our leaders, and our people. History has shown that nations rise when their citizens unite in purpose and prayer.
While praying to Allah (SWT) to bless us with wisdom, protection, prosperity, and enduring peace in the New Year,the Speaker wished the Muslims Ummah a Happy Islamic New Year, 1448 AH.
