The APC Gombe State Gubernatorial candidate for the forthcoming general elections,Dr Jamil Isyaku Gwamna has expressed appreciation to Allah SWT and all those who supported him to emerge as the candidate of the party in the state.
He disclosed this in his acceptance speech shortly after the affirmation exercise held in Gombe.
Dr Jamil Isyaku Gwamna said he was deeply honoured and humbled by the confidence reposed in him, through his election as the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 General Elections. With a profound sense of responsibility and commitment, I wholeheartedly accept the noble task of bearing the flag of our great party APC in the forthcoming governorship election.
He also expressed his sincere.appreciation to the party leader in Gombe State, His Excellency, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, for his purposeful leadership, political maturity, and unwavering commitment to the unity and progress of our party and state. Under his administration,
According to him, Gombe State has witnessed remarkable strides in infrastructure, healthcare, education, agriculture, security, and human capital development, achievements that have strengthened public confidence in the APC and positioned our state on the path of sustainable growth.
He maintained that these achievements have provided our party with a strong foundation and renewed determination as we prepare for the 2027 general elections. The APC in Gombe State is united, focused, and fully prepared to consolidate on these gains and continue delivering purposeful leadership to our people.
Dr Jamil Isyaku Gwamna also extended his profound gratitude to APC executives at all levels, party stakeholders, aspirants, supporters, and members of political parties across the state for their sacrifices, commitment, and contributions throughout this process.
He explained that the successful conduct of these primaries has once again demonstrated that the APC in Gombe State remains a party built on consultation, inclusiveness, transparency, and respect for democratic participation. It is a victory for the entire APC family and for all those who believe in peaceful and responsible politics.
The Gubernatorial candidate also used the opportunity to thank fellow aspirants and contestants, and sincerely thank them for their courage, maturity, and contributions to strengthening our party through healthy democratic engagement.
He said “the primaries have come and gone, and now is the time for all of us to come together on the same ship with one shared destination, the continued progress, unity, and development of Gombe State”
Dr Jamil Isyaku Gwamna said while we may have pursued different aspirations during the contest, our ultimate agenda has always remained the same, to build a stronger, more prosperous, and more united Gombe State. We must therefore eschew every form of division arising from the primaries and embrace reconciliation, mutual respect, and collective responsibility as one united political family.
To the good people of Gombe State, the candidate said he remains deeply conscious that this mandate ultimately belongs to you. I will never take your trust, support, and confidence for granted.
He also pledged, by the grace of God, to remain accountable, accessible, and committed to serving all citizens fairly and responsibly, regardless of political affiliation, ethnic background, social status, or geographical location.
He maintained that “Our vision is to build an inclusive government that carries everyone along and ensures that every citizen has a sense of belonging and an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the development of our dear state”.
“The journey ahead will require sacrifice, discipline, patience, and unity of purpose. But I firmly believe that together, united under the APC and inspired by our shared aspirations for progress and prosperity, we can achieve even greater milestones for Gombe State”,he said.
He said with the support of the people and the grace of Almighty Allah, we are fully determined and prepared to secure victory for the APC at all levels in 2027 and continue building on the solid foundation already laid by the administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON.
