The Commissioner of Police, Zamfara State Command, CP Ahmad Muhammad Bello, today received a delegation from Birnin Magaji Local Government Area led by Hon. Alhaji Ibrahim on a courtesy visit to the Command Headquarters in Gusau.
A statement signed by the command public relations officer DSP Yazid Abubakar said the delegation expressed its sincere appreciation to the Commissioner of Police for his exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to the fight against banditry across Zamfara State. They particularly lauded the recent operational successes recorded in Birnin Magaji and other parts of the state, noting that the achievements have significantly improved public confidence and enhanced the security of lives and property.
The delegation further commended the harmonious working relationship between the Commissioner of Police and the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, DCP Aliyu Asbagu Muhammad, describing their collaboration as instrumental to the Command’s operational successes and sustained efforts to rid the state of criminal elements.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Hon. Alhaji Ibrahim paid glowing tribute to DCP Aliyu Asbagu Muhammad, describing him as a distinguished son of Birnin Magaji and the first indigene of the Local Government Area to attain the prestigious rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police in the Nigeria Police Force. He noted that the officer’s accomplishments have brought honour to the people of Birnin Magaji and continue to inspire the younger generation.
In his response, CP Ahmad Muhammad Bello, PSC+, mnips, expressed gratitude to the delegation for the visit and their words of encouragement. He reaffirmed the Command’s unwavering commitment to sustaining the ongoing onslaught against banditry and other forms of criminality across the state. The Commissioner assured the delegation that the Command would continue to work closely with other security agencies and members of the public to ensure lasting peace, security, and stability throughout Zamfara State.
He also urged residents to sustain their support for the Police by providing timely and credible information that would aid security agencies in preventing and combating crime effectively.
