The Commandant Nigerian Army College of Logistics and Management (NACOLM) Major General Adewale Collins Adetoba has decorated newly promoted senior officers of the College promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonels in the Nigerian Army (NA).
A statement signed by Major Innocent Oche Audu, public relations officer,Nigerian army college of logistics and management said the Commandant also charged the newly decorated officers to imbibe the spirit of hard work, which he said was one of the requirements for success.
The investiture ceremony took place at the RC Duru Officers’ Mess at the College Main Campus in Ojo Lagos on Tuesday, 7 April 2026. A total of 15 officers were decorated to the rank of Lieutenant Colonels.
The Commandant further appreciated God for the opportunity to witness the colourful ceremony, adding that the promotion is a testament to their excellence, resilience and doggedness in the discharge of their duties. He expressed his gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu NAM, for finding officers of the College worthy for promotion. Major General Adetoba charged the officers to redouble their efforts as new responsibilities have been added to them. He further appreciated the spouses, families, and well wishers of the officers who took time to attend the investiture ceremony.
Delivering the vote of thanks on behalf of newly promoted senior officers, one of the beneficiaries, Lieutenant Colonel SA Adamu, expressed happiness and honour to God for His unfailing guidance throughout their careers. He also appreciated the COAS for finding them worthy of the elevation. He described their promotion as a call to greater responsibilities, loyalty, and dedication to the NA.
The beneficiaries reiterated their gratitude to the Commandant NACOLM for his leadership, mentorship, and fatherly guidance, which they described as instrumental to their success. They also appreciated their families and friends for being their anchors. Adding that their prayers, sacrifices, and support, especially while on operational deployment.
The event was graced by seasoned retired senior officers, including Major General AO Amosu (Rtd), Major General MS Yusuf (Rtd), and Rear Admiral RO Mohammed (Rtd). Also in attendance were the Deputy Commandant/Director of Studies NACOLM, Brigadier General S Anyogo, Directors, Chief Instructors, members of Directing and Administrative staff of the College.
