The Commandant Nigerian Army College of Logistics and Management (NACOLM), Major General Adewale Collins Adetoba has decorated two members of the Directing Staff (DS) with the College prestigious Passed Logistics and Staff Course Dagger (plsc+) award.
A statement signed by Major Innocent Oche Audu public relations officer, Nigerian Army college of logistics management said the award was given in recognition of their hard work and dedication to the imparting of knowledge to enhance the leadership skills and career progression of officers of the Nigerian Army trained in the College.
The deserving DS were Lieutenant Colonel Willie James and Lieutenant Colonel Bartholomew Ikechukwu Sunday, who have both taught in the College for a period of 2 years spanning 10 teaching teams. As a result, the Commandant in accordance with the College Standard Operating Procedure decorated them with the plsc(+) brooch in a ceremony which took place at the Commandant Conference Room Ojo, Lagos on Monday 29 June 2026.
In his remarks, the Commandant NACOLM commended the officers for their hard work and urged them to be worthy ambassadors of the College any where they found themselves.. He also commended them for successfully completing their teaching term in the College.
The Commandant further urged them to be prepared to assist the College whenever the need arises, especially in the area of training
Delivering the vote of thanks on behalf of the awardees, Lieutenant Colonel Willie Omiete James expressed gratitude to the College Management for the award. He described NACOLM as the Nigerian Army (NA) premier centre for logistics training and professional military education and that they are proud to be associated with the College. He added that serving in NACOLM has been professionally rewarding and personally fulfilling. He added that it afforded them the opportunity to contribute to the training, mentoring, and development of future military leaders and logisticians.
Lieutenant Colonel James appreciated the Commandant NACOLM and all Faculty and Administrative Staff of the College for their support adding that, the new responsibilities that came with the award will renew their commitment to continue serving the NA with dedication, loyalty and professionalism.
Highlights of the events were the decoration of the senior officers with the College plsc(+) brooch and the presentation of certificates.
