The Commandant Nigerian Army College of Logistics and Management (NACOLM), Major General Adewale Collins Adetoba has called on religious based training institutions in the Nigerian Army to make concerted efforts at intensifying the use of counseling, character building and mentoring to further improve the level of professionalism of personnel of the Nigerian Army (NA).
A statement signed by Innocent Oche Audu Public Relations Officer, Nigerian Army College of Logistics and Management said he stated this when the Acting Commandant Nigerian Army Chaplain Training School, Roman Catholic (NACTS, RC) Lieutenant Colonel (Very Reverend Father ) Luke Beba paid a courtesy visit to the College.
Major General Adetoba further assured the Acting Commandant NACTS of the College support in the areas of counselling, coaching and character building which he said are part of the training packages in the NACOLM. He also added that the psychological and emotional stability of personnel of the NA is crucial to operational success as such Commanders at all levels should pay attention to such areas.
The Commandant NACOLM also stressed the need for the Acting Commandant NACTS to further enhance those critical aspects in the curriculum and training programme of personnel who come on course in the Chaplain school.
Speaking earlier the Acting Commandant NACTS (RC) Lieutenant Colonel Beba said the aim of the visit was to familiarize himself with neighboring Commanders within his area of responsibility, having just assumed command as the Acting Commandant of the NACTS.
He added that the visit was also an avenue for him to seek greater partnership and collaboration with the College towards achieving the mandate of the NACTS (RC).
He further appreciated the Commandant NACOLM for receiving them and appreciated him and his team for the warm reception accorded him and his entourage.
Present during the visit which took place today Friday 21 March 2026 were the Deputy Commandant/Director of Studies, Brigadier General Sylvester Anyogo, Directors, Faculty and Administrative Staff of the NACOLM.
