The Commissioner of Police, Zamfara State Command, CP Ahmad Muhammad Bello, psc+, mnips, delivered an insightful lecture on security awareness and crime prevention to students of Police Secondary School Gusau.
A statement signed by the command public relations officer DSP Yazid Abubakar said the lecture, which took place at the school premises, was aimed at educating students on the importance of security consciousness, discipline, patriotism, and the role of youths in promoting peace and stability within their communities.
During the interactive session, the Commissioner of Police enlightened the students on contemporary security challenges, the dangers of drug abuse, cultism, cybercrime, and other social vices capable of affecting their future and national development. He further encouraged the students to remain law-abiding, focused on their education, and to always report suspicious activities to security agencies.
The Commandant of the school, SP Alhaji Kabiru Ibrahim Gusau, expressed his appreciation on behalf of the students and management of the school for the impactful lecture and commended the Commissioner of Police for his continuous efforts toward strengthening security awareness among youths in the State.
