    The Commissioner of Police, Zamfara State Command, Ahmad Muhammad Bello, psc+, Mnips on 22/05/2026 received members of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) on a courtesy visit at the Command Headquarters, Gusau.

    A statement signed by the command public relations officer DSP Yazid Abubakar said during the visit, the delegation commended the Commissioner of Police and officers of the Command for their relentless efforts in combating crime and criminality across Zamfara State. The team noted that before their arrival in the state, they were deeply concerned and apprehensive due to reports surrounding the activities of armed bandits and other criminal elements in the state.

    However, after spending several days in Zamfara State, the delegation stated that they had observed significant improvements in the security situation and professionalism displayed by the police in maintaining law and order.

    The representatives of the Civil Society Organisations further expressed satisfaction with the proactive policing strategies adopted by the Command, stressing that the police are “on top of the game” in tackling insecurity and restoring public confidence.

    In his remarks, the Commissioner of Police appreciated the delegation for the visit and assured them of the Command’s commitment to protecting lives and property throughout the state. He reiterated that the Command, under the leadership of the Inspector-General of Police, remains committed to strengthening community policing, collaboration with stakeholders, and sustaining the ongoing fight against all forms of criminality in ZamfaraState.
