Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has received a delegation from the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) led by its Acting Director-General, Mr. Edmund C. Onwuliri, in a courtesy visit aimed at strengthening partnership between the state and the federal agency.

This was contained in a statement signed by Ibrahim kaula Mohammad chief press secretary to the Governor made available to newsmen.

Addressing the delegation at the State Government House yesterday, Governor Radda expressed appreciation for the visit and commended the team’s dedication to youth development. He recognized the importance of skills acquisition in creating employment opportunities for Katsina youth.

The Governor instructed that all requests from the NDE be treated with appropriate attention and priority. This directive ensures that the delegation receives full cooperation in pursuing their initiatives within the state.

Governor Radda extended the hand of partnership and collaboration to the NDE, noting that the state government is ready to work closely with the agency to advance employment and skills development programs across Katsina.

The Governor emphasized that his administration views skills training as critical to youth empowerment and sustainable economic development. He assured the NDE of full state support in implementing their programs and initiatives.

Earlier in his remarks, Mr. Edmund C. Onwuliri, Acting Director-General of the NDE, outlined the agency’s plans to expand its presence and activities within the state.

Onwurili disclosed that the delegation had visited Daura to engage with the Emir and relevant stakeholders regarding land acquisition and processing of Certificate of Occupancy for an NDE facility.

Beyond land matters, the NDE team has toured the existing Skill Acquisition Centers across multiple locations. The centres visited include Ingawa, Kurfi, Malumfashi, Funtua, and other communities across the state.

The NDE Acting Director-General emphasized the agency’s interest in exploring meaningful partnerships with the Katsina State Government.

“These partnerships are designed to create more employment opportunities and expand access to skills training across the state,” added the NDE boss.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Governor Malam Faruk Lawal and other top government officials and other members of the NDE delegation.
