The Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government, Engr.Jamil Ahmad Muhammad (Jaga), yesterday joined families and communities across Zaria in mourning, demonstrating solidarity and compassion during their moments of grief.
He attended the Janaza prayer for the late Malama Sufairau Murtala at Gwargwaje Jumu’ah Mosque alongside Hon. Isa Haruna Babanyaya, Member representing Zaria Kewaye in the Kaduna State House of Assembly, and other dignitaries.
A statement from the office of the chairman said the Chairman also accompanied the burial at Tudun Bayin Allah, Unguwar Salmanduna (Limancin Kona Ward), and paid a condolence visit to the family at Rimin Danza.
Engr. Jaga further visited the family of the late Jibrin Bature (Jan Wuya) in Unguwar Kwarbai, Zaria City, where he extended his condolences and offered support.
Later in the day, he attended the Janaza prayer for the late Alhaji Umar at Tudun-Kusa, alongside Hon. Isa Haruna Babanyaya.
The Chairman emphasized the importance of unity, compassion, and standing together in times of loss, while praying for the peaceful repose of the departed souls and strength for their families.
