    DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE & ACCOUNTS BIDS FAREWELL TO OUTGOING HOD, HAJIYA RISIKAT RONKE ADEDEJI.

    The Department of Finance & Accounts, ABUTH Zaria, held a farewell and birthday celebration in honor of its outgoing Head of Department, Hajiya Risikat Ronke Adedeji, who retired from service as Deputy Director / HOD, Finance & Accounts.

    This was contained in a statement signed by Haruna Ibrahim head information and public relations of the hospital made available to newsmen.

    The Chairman of the Occasion and Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee, Prof. Muhammad Ibrahim Zaria, said the gathering was to celebrate the remarkable achievements of Hajiya Adedeji, who led the department with wisdom, commitment, and a spirit of excellence.

    He expressed deep appreciation for her visionary leadership, noting that she laid a solid foundation for the department through foresight, integrity, and discipline, and positively influenced the careers and professionalism of many staff.

    He charged accountants to uphold transparency to ensure the hospital remains financially stable.

    The Director of Administration, Barr. Buhari Zailani, also commended the outgoing HOD for her dedication, foresight, and selfless service. He stated that her years of service were marked by professionalism and unwavering commitment to excellence.

    In her response, Hajiya Risikat Ronke Adedeji expressed gratitude to the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Ahmed Hamidu Umdagas, for believing in her and giving her the opportunity to serve as the first female Head of Finance & Accounts in the hospital.

    She thanked the Members of the Top Management for their support and for always considering the financial advice from her department.

    She also appreciated the staff of ABUTH and the Finance & Accounts Department for their encouragement and support which made her tenure peaceful and successful.

    She thanks her family members, husband and children for their patience, support and understanding. She said this achievement will not be possible without them

    She advised young accountants and professionals in training to take pride in a profession built on trust, responsibility, and service to society. She urged all accountants to remain committed to excellence, ethical standards, and to continue playing their role in keeping the hospital and other institutions stable and forward-Focused.

    The biography and achievements of Hajiya Adedeji were presented by Alh. Habibu Armayau Suleiman, Mr. Haruna Abubakar Difa, Mrs. Suzzy G. Dutse and Hajiya Maryam Abdullahi Makarfi.

    Awards were presented to the outgoing HOD in recognition of her service.

    The occasion was well attended by dignitaries including the HOD Pharmacy, HOD Procurement, HOD Nursing Services, Chairman ABUTH MDCAN, Chairman of AMLSN, and APAHN, family members, friends, and staff of ABUTH.

    Hajiya Risikat Ronke Adedeji’s years of service as being marked by excellent leadership, diligence, and exemplary character. We wish her a long life, good health, and prosperity in retirement.
