    Engr Jaga Participates in a Three -Day Public Financial Management Capacity Building Programme

    The Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government, Engr.Jamil Ahmad Muhammad (Jaga), is currently participating in a three-day Sensitization and Capacity Building Programme on Public Financial Management (PFM) alongside other Local Government Chairmen from across Kaduna State.

    A released signed by Abdullahi Abubakar lawal SA New Media to the chairman,said the training, organized in collaboration with the Kaduna State Planning and Budget Commission (PBC) and UNICEF, is aimed at strengthening the capacity of Local Government leaders in effective financial management, transparent budgeting, evidence-based planning, and improved service delivery.

    The statement said the programme focuses on key areas, including the fundamentals of Public Financial Management, workshop objectives and ground rules, child poverty concepts, the Kaduna State Child Poverty Report, and the regulatory and institutional framework guiding Local Government Public Financial Management systems.

    It said participants are also engaging in sessions on linking policy, planning, and budgeting to ensure that public resources are allocated efficiently and deliver measurable results for citizens.

    The knowledge and practical insights gained from this programme will enhance effective planning, promote prudent management of public funds, and support the implementation of impactful projects that improve education, healthcare, infrastructure, social welfare, and other essential services for the people of Zaria.

    As the programme continues over the next two days, Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad remains committed to acquiring innovative ideas and practical solutions that will further strengthen good governance, improve financial accountability, and accelerate sustainable development across Zaria Local Government.
