Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago extends his warm felicitations to Muslims across the globe on the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
The farmer governor, through his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, appreciates Allah for the privilege to celebrate this year’s Muslim festival of sacrifice.
He says that the Eid-el-Kabir celebration is to commemorate Prophet Ibrahim’s absolute devotion and obedience to Allah.
The farmer governor reminds the Muslim faithful of the need to renew their commitment, devotion, and steadfastness to serving Allah.
He also encourages the Muslim faithful to use the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir to show love, compassion and offer charity especially to the downtrodden.
The farmer governor also urges them to pray fervently for peace, sustainable growth, and development of Niger State in particular and Nigeria in general.
He further charges the Muslim ummah to continue to pray and support leaders at all levels to ensure purposeful leadership.
The farmer governor, while wishing the Muslim faithful a peaceful and memorable Eid-el-kabir celebration, reaffirms his administration’s determination to ensure the safety of lives and property.
He cautions the people, especially youths, against acts of violence during and after the celebration, maintaining that security agencies have been directed to deal decisively with anyone found disturbing public peace.
