The Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Education, Zaria, Prof. Yahaya Isa Bunkure, has received his counterpart from the Federal University of Education, Kontagora, Prof. Faruk Rashid Haruna, who paid him a courtesy visit on Monday, 10 August, 2026.
A statement signed by Sani Lawal maqarphy media aide to VC said Prof. Haruna appreciated the Vice-Chancellor for the warm reception accorded him and called for stronger cooperation among Federal Universities of Education to enhance teacher education in Nigeria.
Responding, Prof. Bunkure appreciated the visit and said FUE Zaria was ready to partner with sister institutions in addressing emerging challenges in higher and teacher education.
The two Vice-Chancellors discussed possible areas of collaboration, including research, knowledge sharing, educational technology, curriculum development and facilities.
Prof. Bunkure noted that FUE Zaris is a specialised university committed to teacher education, research, innovation and community service.
