His Excellency the Executive Governor of Yobe State, Hon. (Dr.) Mai Mala Buni CON COMN, has congratulated the newly promoted Professor of Energy and Environmental Development, Yakaka Bilkisu Bukar Maina.
Yakaka a proud indigene of Yobe state was promoted to the rank of Professor by the Senate of the University of Maiduguri.
A statement signed by DG press and media affairs to the Governor Mal Mamman Mohammad said Prof. Yakaka Bilkisu Bukar Maina is the first woman Professor of Energy and Environmental Development in the North east sub-region.
A scholar in energy, environmental development, and climate resilience, dedicated her academic work on practical solutions to energy and environmental challenges, particularly in vulnerable and conflict-affected areas.
Prof. Yakaka, who works with the University of Maiduguri, is also a consultant with the Food and Agricultural Organization, supporting programmes on natural resource management, clean energy, and livelihoods.
Governor Buni prayed to almighty Allah to bless her new prestigious status of a Professor, urging her to remain dedicated to her chosen career to justify the promotion, and to continue doing Yobe state proud.
