Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has thrown his weight behind the Katsina State Progressive Political Party Alliance, KP3A, and pledged to build a lasting legacy through sustainable projects for future generations.

Governor Radda gave the assurance on Monday when he received the KP3A delegation, led by Hon. Musa Bature Bakori, at the Government House, Katsina. He also approved government support for the alliance’s planned statewide tour of the 34 Local Government Areas to sensitise citizens on the achievements of his administration.

“Our responsibility is to build a Katsina that our children will be proud of, by investing in projects and programmes that will continue to serve the people long after our administration,” the Governor said.

He said his administration had, within three years, implemented numerous interventions in agriculture, healthcare, education and other critical sectors. He added that several projects had also been executed across the state’s 361 wards, with a focus on reaching communities at the grassroots.

“Every responsible father should leave a lasting legacy for his children, even when he is no longer with them, so that they can have something to emulate,” he said.

Earlier, KP3A leader, Hon. Musa Bature Bakori, said the alliance was formed by members of different political parties who came together after assessing the development projects of the Radda administration.

“We decided to come together because we have seen the projects and programmes being implemented across Katsina State. Our decision is based on what we have seen on the ground and the impact these interventions are having on the people,” Bakori said.

He said the alliance had established structures across wards, polling units, LGAs and the state, and would take information on government achievements directly to citizens at the grassroots.

Bakori pledged the alliance’s full support for Governor Radda and appealed for government backing for the planned tour, which he said would also mobilize support for the Governor’s bid for a second term.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Governor, Malam Faruk Lawal Jobe; SSG, Barr. Abdullahi Garba Faskari; Chief of Staff, Hon. Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir; members of the State Executive Council and other senior government officials.
