The Executive Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has continued to strengthen the state’s education reform agenda through strategic investments in human capital development and institutional capacity building.

A statement signed by Ibrahim kaula Mohammad chief press secretary to the Governor, said this followed the participation of a 2nd Katsina State delegation under the Transforming Education System at State Level (TESS) Project in a high-level learning visit on Participatory Leadership and Good Governance held in Cairo, Egypt.

The programme enhanced participants’ knowledge and skills in participatory leadership, stakeholder engagement, transparency, accountability, effective decision-making, and education sector governance. It also exposed them to international best practices in project implementation, institutional development, and public sector leadership.

Governor Radda described the learning visit as a strategic investment in building a competent workforce capable of driving sustainable education reforms across Katsina State.

“Our administration remains committed to building the capacity of officials implementing critical education programmes. Exposure to global best practices strengthens institutions, promotes accountability, and enhances service delivery for the benefit of our people,” Governor Radda stated.

The Katsina State delegation comprised Auwal Muhammad Idris, Abdulmalik Maiwada, Jafar Abdullahi Maikudi, Rukayya Umar Radda, Maijidda Mohammad Kaikai, Aisha Muktar, and Aisha Faruq Jobe.

Throughout the programme, participants engaged in interactive sessions, study visits, practical exercises, and knowledge-sharing activities designed to strengthen institutional effectiveness, improve project implementation, and promote good governance within the education sector.

Governor Radda reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting initiatives that expose government officials and project teams to global best practices and innovative approaches to public service delivery.

“We will continue to invest in capacity building and strengthen international partnerships to equip our officials with the knowledge, skills, and experience required to deliver sustainable reforms and quality education for every child in Katsina State,” the Governor added.

The Governor noted that investing in the capacity of education stakeholders remains central to his administration’s vision of building a more effective, accountable, and results-driven education system capable of meeting the aspirations of future generations.
