* Says party victory is assured in 2027
Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has expressed warm appreciation to the people of Katsina State for the massive turnout at the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary elections.
A statement signed by Ibrahim kaula Mohammad chief press secretary to the Governor said the Governor particularly commended stakeholders and members of APC who came out en masse to reaffirm their support and loyalty.
Governor Radda praised the peaceful, transparent, and orderly conduct of the exercise, noting that the democratic process allowed all members to exercise their franchise freely and without hindrance.
“The peaceful conduct of this exercise reflects the maturity and discipline of our party members across Katsina State,” the Governor stated.
The Governor described the affirmation process as a demonstration of the party’s commitment to internal democracy and fair representation.
The Governor recalled that the massive turnout at the affirmation exercise reflected the appreciation of the people following the statewide tour he conducted earlier last year and the strong belief in the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“The people’s response today shows that they have seen and felt the impact of our Building Your Future agenda across all communities,” the Governor said.
He emphasized that the turnout was a validation of the administration’s commitment to inclusive governance and community engagement.
The Governor also extolled the National Assembly and State Assembly candidates who emerged during the primaries. He expressed confidence in their capacity to represent Katsina State effectively at the national and state levels.
Governor Radda particularly commended former Governors Ibrahim Shehu Shema and Aminu Bello Masari for their steadfast support and contributions to the successful conduct of the exercise.
He also praised former Deputy Governors, Ministers, and Members of the National Assembly who graced the occasion and demonstrated unity within the party.
The Governor specially praised Dr. Yakubu Ahmed Maccido, Chairman of the APC Affirmation Committee, for the peaceful and credible conduct of the exercise.
“Dr. Maccido’s professionalism and commitment to fair process ensured that the exercise was conducted in strict compliance with party guidelines,” Governor Radda noted.
Governor Radda expressed strong confidence that Katsina State will achieve victory in the 2027 general elections and convincingly deliver President Tinubu for another four year term. He attributed this confidence to the party’s unity, the quality of candidates, and the support of the people.
“With this show of solidarity and the commitment of our candidates, victory in 2027 is assured. We will deliver success for Katsina State at all levels,” the Governor affirmed.
The Governor called on all party members, stakeholders, and supporters to sustain the momentum demonstrated at the affirmation exercise. He urged them to intensify mobilization efforts as the party prepares for the general election campaign.
“This is just the beginning. We must now channel this energy into effective campaigns that will bring victory to every polling unit,” Governor Radda urged.
